Besik is 34 years old. He left Georgia 6 years ago and he tried to find a job in Poland. Besik is a typical economic migrant. He is an example of success. He works hard and he managed to avoid poverty.

Kay– 38 years old. He started school when he was 7 or 8. He is now 38. It took about 30 years before he was diagnosed with dyslexia.

Augustin and Jelka  from Bratislava /Slovakia

This homeless couple Augustin and Jelka are playing roles as actors. They really like the fact that they are part of a team in the theatre. Everyone contributes to the end result. There they all have to pull together to ensure that the audience enjoys the play. A well-performed play makes them all happy.

Last Friday, our friends from the 142nd Elementary school with their Deputy came to our school to meet our etwinning team.

37 years after the uprising in the Polytechnic school in Athens, the visions of those students of that age, nowadays, inspire us and give us strength to defend Democracy, National Independence, Freedom and Peace.

Our friend DILSHAD

ActionAid is an international anti-poverty agency whose aim is to fight poverty worldwide.

Pakistan: ActionAid is currently working in seven districts providing food and hygiene and household kits, targeting the most vulnerable.




Some years ago, the pupils and the teachers of 40 Gymnasio Athinas have become an ActionAid donor to fight poverty.

Now we have 10 friends from Pakistan DILSHAD is one of them. He is very young. He can not write, but he is able to paint. Here it is his letter and his painting.

Dilshad has drawn 2 rooms, some flowers, a house and his favorite cartoon for us in Athens/Greece.

We discuss about dyslexia

The participants of 40 Gymnasio Athinas

We participate, we learn, we enjoy

Since September 2010 the partnership and the project have started . But today we came at the Computer Laboratory for our first meeting there. With us were our teachers Ms Margiolou (English language), Ms Michou and Mr Kapouas (Computer Science) and the Principal of our school Ms Iordanidou.

Ms Fyssaki from 3rd Upper Secondary School "Miltos Kountouras" from Nea Filadelfeia (co-ordinator school) presented the aims and the objectives of the eTwinning program. She showed the contents of this blog and we discussed about the schedule, the activities of the project and our participation in general.
