What is inclusion?

What is inclusion? Inclusion is belonging! Inclusion is an attitude of philosophy. Inclusion is not a programme Inclusion is a right.	Τι είναι ένταξη; Ένταξη είναι ν’ ανήκεις! Η ένταξη αποτελεί στάση φιλοσοφίας. Δεν είναι ένα πρόγραμμα! Είναι δικαίωμα!
Not a favour, nor a trial period. Inclusion is a sense of belonging, being part of a community and being valued and respected as contributing member.	Δεν είναι μια χάρη, ένα σύνθημα, ούτε μια δοκιμαστική περίοδος. Ένταξη είναι η αίσθηση του ν’ ανήκεις, ν’ αποτελείς μέρος μιας κοινότητας, να έχεις την εκτίμηση και το σεβασμό ως συμβαλλόμενο μέλος.
Inclusion is accepting differences and responding individual needs. Inclusion gives children the permission to be themselves.	Η ένταξη αποδέχεται τις διαφορές και ανταποκρίνεται στις ατομικές ανάγκες. Η ένταξη δίνει στα παιδιά την άδεια να είναι ο εαυτός τους.

When you knew a child with a disability what does it mean to be included? Inclusion means more than just physically being placed with typically developing children	Αν ήξερες ένα παιδί με αναπηρία τι σημαίνει να είναι ενταγμένο; Ένταξη σημαίνει πολύ περισσότερα από το ότι απλά να βρίσκεσαι δίπλα με τυπικά ανεπτυγμένα άτομα.
It is not a place or a measured amount of time spent with others Universally it means belonging.	Δεν είναι ένας χώρος ούτε μια μετρήσιμη ποσότητα χρόνου που δαπανάται με τους άλλους Καθολικά σημαίνει ότι ανήκεις….

Inclusion is...
contributing, being valued, feeling useful, being needed,  cooperating, expanding, participating, freedom, taking risks, sharing happiness, success, security, having choices, access, equal opportunity access, being respected, being accepted... belonging!

Inclusion is Belonging!!!!!

The opposite is Social Exclusion!!!!!
